TTL Technologies started in 1982 as a small import trading activity within APLAB Ltd., India's foremost professional electronics manufacturing company based at Thane, an industrial suburb outside Mumbai.

APLAB Limited, now a public limited company, was founded by Mr. P.S. Deodhar. He continues as Chairman of Aplab. He was formerly Chairman, Electronics Commission, Govt. of India and Advisor to the Prime Minister of India on Technology.

APLAB Ltd., started in 1962, soon became the largest Indian manufacturer of test instruments and had started by 1979 to represent world renowned test instrumentation manufacturers like Wavetek Corp., Nicolet Instruments from the USA, Linseis from Germany and connector manufacturers like Lemo from Switzerland. The products from these foreign manufacturers were well accepted by Indian customers. In order to focus better on the distribution and support of these principals, a separate company was formed in 1982, Technical Trade Links. It soon came to be well known in the market by the brand name "TTL".

TTL soon expanded its reach over the decade, adding new offices at New Delhi, Calcutta and Bangalore. Several other principals were added to the Test and Measurement Instruments (TMI ) Division, Voltech from U.K., Gigatronics from U.S.A. and Datron Instruments ( now part of Fluke Corporation ) from U.K.

An Analytical Test Instrumentation Division was added in 1990 with the inclusion of Spectronic Instruments ( formerly Milton Roy Company ) from U.S.A. with their range of world renowned "Spectronic" brand UV-Vis spectrophotometers. Companies like, Neslab for bath circulators and chillers, Data Physics and Anton Paar - Physica for materials testing were added over the years.

Expertise gained over the years in fields such as Metrology, Infrared Thermography, RF & Microwave, Materials Characterization, etc are channeled through qualified specialists who provide complete solutions in these areas.
